Action item 1: Tommy - announce PMR2 0.4, then Dougal to put up the news item.

This week's agenda:

1) OpenCOR update

Progress:

  • Alan Garny gave an update on the current status of OpenCOR development.
    • There is a website with the documentation and links.
    • The project is on github.
    • The GUI and a number of plugins are working in the fully functional plugin architecture, including a simple raw XML editor, file browser, file organizer, and simulation using CIS. CellML repository access using the JSON/Rest webservices is at a basic proof-of-concept stage and is working well.

Discussion:

  • Alan: future plans include Mercurial support, SVG support, cmgui and OpenCMISS integration, OpenCOR "projects" (savable application states), and an analysis plugin aimed at action potentials.
  • There was a discussion about possible OpenCOR features and the plugin architecture.
  • There was an extensive discussion about C code compilation for model simulation, and alternative approaches to this including generating machine code or use of GPU shaders.

2) PMR2 0.5 planning discussion

  • Deferred until next week.

3) CellML website front page

Progress:

  • PMR2 0.4 announcement added to news.

4) PMR2 development - update

Progress:

  • Tommy: moved to github. Updated page on cellml.org and installation instructions. Did some planning for OAuth and search features.

Discussion:

  • There was a discussion about Plone search and how to replace or improve it.

5) Repository contributions - update

  • No update.

6) CellML API - update

Progress:

  • Andrew: did some work to make the CellML API more usable from C++.
    • Proposals: get rid of the need for macros, return standard string, make query interface easier.
  • There was a discussion about the free(name) crash reported by Andre.

7) CellML core specs - update

  • No update.
