ABI CellML Meeting Minutes, 9th of March, 2011

Present: Tommy Yu, Andrew Miller

  1. Metadata draft specifications: Item skipped.
  2. Python code export not working: Andrew noted that there were tracker items, 2850, and 2851, created by Randall to track this.
  3. CellML API
    • Progress: Andrew has been working on the test-suite for SProS, the SED-ML processing service, and fixing bugs that come up during this process.
    • Discussion: Andrew noted that the SED-ML schema has been revised lately; there could be a need to update code to ensure it stays current. Andrew also noted that in some cases the schema doesn't seem to match the UML diagram in terms of the arity of relationships; for now, Andrew is working primarily off the UML diagram in these cases; it might just be that SED-ML is in flux, but otherwise we may need to contact Frank Bergmann / Dagmar Waltemath to resolve these.
  4. Core specifications: Progress: A breakaway meeting on CellML 1.2 was held last week, and some progress on how types should work was made.
  5. PMR2:
    • Progress:
      • Tommy notes that the top-level package has now been broken up into parts; related features have been grouped into their own modules.
      • Tommy has looked into how to implement the new model and dataset workspace rendering.
    • Planning:
      • Tommy is considering changing the caching mechanism for things like generated code, so caching is less permanent, and the code is regenerated after dependencies are updated. There was a discussion of whether there needed to be a way to get at code generated by earlier version; Andrew suggested that if users want this, they can build the software dependency themselves.
      • Tommy has been contacted by ITS, who want to take the site down for 30 minutes for a physical relocation and want to know what time is the best; last time it was around 8AM in the morning, New Zealand time.
