Present: Randall Britten, Tommy Yu, Justin Marsh, Dougal Cowan, David Cumin, James Lawson, Andrew Miller, Michael Backhaus
Apologies: Poul Nielsen, Mike Cooling

Last Week's Action items:

1.) James to draft an email to the community about the decision making process and structure.
  • James has sent the email, and is drafting a document on the structure/process.
Action item 1.) James to continue work on this document.

2.) Randall to email developers about priorities for PCEnv development.

  • Andre and Alan agree that Java wrappers should be a priority.
3.) Tommy to find and execute a script to find broken links.
  • Tommy has run the script. There are some pages which do not supply an error code and yet are broken - these will need to be found and fixed manually.

This week's agenda:

1) CellML Specs - update
  • Randall explained the initial value problem and proposed a breakaway meeting to discuss it.
  • James continues to draft the metadata spec proposal, and wants to have it finished ready for discussion by the time he goes to Singapore.

2) PCEnv development - update
  • Justin has been working exclusively on the Mac OS build.

3) CellML API - update
  • Andrew has been doing mainly bugfixes, to do with Ubuntu 8.10.
  • Randall suggested he and Andrew have a chat about the levmar solver
  • Randall raised the issue of multiple equations for one variable; gave the example of an upper limit (eg a physical barrier) on a sinusoidal function.  This is discussed in tracker item 1440.

4) Website redesign - update
  • James has been working on content creation
  • James discussed preserving the wiki content; possibly transforming it to another format or re-working it somehow.

5) Repository contributions - update
  • No updates.

6) PMR2 development - update
  • Tommy has been hooking up the Mercurial library to PMR2.
  • Can now view Mercurial workspace histories.
  • Can now import Mercurial workspaces into Plone 3.

7) Updates or additional items
  • James discussed the work of the gold-medal winning iGEM team from Newcastle, who he and Mike have been advising.  James and Mike are writing a paper with them.
  • Andrew has been making incremental improvements to the SBML to CellML translation tool.
