Original Model Status
Model curated, but did not run in PCEnv simulator.
Work done on model:
This model had previously been curated, but PCEnv had been unable to simulate any results from the corresponding publication. Upon loading the model, PCEnv gave errors regarding the model being 'unsuitably constrained'. I decided to recode the model from scratch, and as I made progress it was made apparent that the model had incorrect parameters and in addition to this doubt was cast over the consistency of the units of some parameters. After referring to the BioModels database, it was decided to utilize the same parameter set as their model. In the end the model produced output that was similar to that of BioModels and the publication. The model is able to produce oscillating output similar to that shown in figures from the publication. This version has been recoded using parameters used by Biomodels Database as a guide.
Curation Status:
Model is now running in PCEnv and producing similar results to the theoretical published results.
Further work required:
Find out why output is not exactly the same as published results and why parameter set in publication does not yield results that are similar or close enough to published results.
