VPH tools tutorial held at EMBC 2013

Developing the Virtual Physiological Human: Tools, Techniques and Best Practices for Data Exchange, Storage and Publication

This tutorial was held on the 3rd of July 2013 at the EMBC meeting in Osaka, Japan.

The tutorial, organized by David Nickerson, began with presentations on the three main tools being presented at the tutorial:

  1. The Physiome Model Repository (Poul Nielsen)
  2. OpenCOR (Peter Hunter)
  3. The MAP framework (Hugh Sorby)

The presentations were followed by hands-on exercises for the participants to follow along and become familiar with the software tools and some of the recommended best practices for the collaborative development of VPH-style computational models and workflows. These exercises and some documentation on each of the tools is available at: https://abibook.readthedocs.org/en/EMBC-2013-tutorial/.
